Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems: Theory and Applications 23 (1) : 27-43. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||In this paper, we consider the control design problem of vehicle following systems with actuator delays. An upper bound for the time delays is first constructed to guarantee the vehicle stability. Second, sufficient conditions are presented to avoid slinky-effects in the vehicle following. Next, zero steady state achieved by the proposed controller is proven. Finally, simulations are given to examine our claims.||Source Title:||Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems: Theory and Applications||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/61883||ISSN:||09210296|
