dc.description.abstract | The variable-length delay line is an important element in wideband adapative rray. In this short contribution, we present a class of tapped delay line filter structures whose frequency responses approximate that of an arbitrary delay in the maximally flat sense, These structures have the advantage that the delay desired is controlled by a number of identical multipliers and a phase shifter whose values are proportional to the desired delay. For the same number of variable elements, the structures derived have better performance than those obtained by using the least squares method. © 1988. | |
