Abstract: An equation relating the flame temperature to the outer wall temperature of the microcombustor was proposed. The flame temperature can be predicted from the measured outer wall surface temperature which is easy to obtain. An experimental study employing hydrogen as a fuel was conducted to validate the equation. It was shown that there is a region in the post-flame zone of the microcombustor where the heat flux at the wall is constant.
