Inhomogeneous material properties were taken into account. A finite element simulation of gravity-induced brain deformation was performed to investigate the effect of the inhomogeneity on the brain deformation. The results suggest employing an inhomogeneous model with detailed anatomy for more realistic surgery simulation.||Source Title:||International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/60323||ISSN:||18616410||DOI:||10.1007/s11548-006-0018-8|
