ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||This paper addresses the feasibility of brazing WC-Co composite hard coatings on to AISI 410 martensitic stainless steel substrates using a nickel based brazing filler metal (AMS 4777D). Coatings of different weight percentages of WC-Co particles and powdered filler metal were prepared through vacuum brazing. The wear characteristics of the coatings were examined using a specially adapted cylinder on cylinder wear tester.
