Abstract: In the paper, the control-volume method and the second-order upwind QUICK scheme are used to numerically simulate the flow in the Czochralski crystal growth. The present solver is validated by the Wheeler's benchmark problems. It is found that the present results agree very well with available data in the literature. However, the present solver can simulate the flow with much higher Grashof number.
