Implementation of the BUNYIP computer code for energy analysis of buildings in Singapore

Abstract

This paper reports the implementation of the BUNYIP computer code for energy analysis of buildings in Singapore. The process included preparing a local weather file, modifying the code to compute and report temperature behaviour in zones and performing comparative studies with the DOE-2 code. Performance indicators used in this study include the annual cooling energy, secondary systems energy consumption, lighting energy consumption, chiller part-load performance and hourly zone temperature variation. Fairly good agreement was observed between the two codes.
