ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1063/1.1565503 | Abstract: | The use of tilted media in the perpendicular recording system for high areal density recording was discussed. It was found that a much better tolerance of the easy-axis distribution was achieved when tilted media were used instead of perpendicular media in a perpendicular recording system. The analysis showed that a much faster magnetization switching was achieved in 45°-tilted media than in perpendicular media. | Source Title: | Applied Physics Letters | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/57670 | ISSN: | 00036951 | DOI: | 10.1063/1.1565503 |
