This article presents the development of a computer-controlled piezo manipulation system for biomedical applications such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). In particular, the work focuses on systematically deriving an optimal set of processing conditions using the Taguchi method to provide a good success rate for the ICSI process. Experimental results are furnished to highlight the performance yield following the adoption of the optimal parameters.
