Abstract: The experimental realisation of a multiwall carbon nanotube (MWNT) resonator for mass sensing applications is reported. Fabricated MWNT resonators with length, inner radius and outer radius as 34.37m, 5.37nm and 13.27 nm, respectively, had a measured resonant frequency around 110-120kHz. Measured results indicate that these MWNT resonators exhibit sub-attogram reponsivity. © The Institution of Engineering and Technology 2008.
