ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||The film grammar used in movie-making industry dictates that most story units start with an establishment shot, which has the intention of bringing the audience to a new environment. Identification of establishment shots can aid in scene segmentation and video summarization. This paper describes a retrieval system that is capable of detecting establishment shots using camera motion features. Experimental results on several hours of real video data show the potential of our approach.||Source Title:||International Journal of Computers and Applications||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/55597||ISSN:||1206212X|
