dc.description.abstractA novel channel estimator with integrated fading rate calculation is developed. It does not need a priori knowledge of the channel. It performs closely to the Wiener filter with optimised filter length with a lower computational complexity. Compared to a Wiener filter with similar number of computations, the proposed channel estimator achieves better performance. Copyright © 2005 AEIT.
