ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||Existing forms of multiuser diversity can be seen as instances of the fundamental economic trade-off of fairness versus efficiency. This viewpoint points to an instance of multiuser diversity which arises in multiuser communication networks. The key idea is to exploit the time-varying buffer occupancies of different users in order to maximize the admissible arrival rate for each user.||Source Title:||IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory - Proceedings||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/51112||ISSN:||21578096|
