ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||In this paper, a theoretical downlink capacity analysis of a SIR based power controlled multi-rate CDMA system employing antenna array is presented. The effect of path decay index and inter-cell interference have been considered in the analysis. Several-fold capacity improvement can be achieved as compared to the conventional single-antenna base station.
