Detecting the presence of 180° phase discrepancies in transmission-coefficient measurements of lossless multiport rectangular-waveguide components. Microwave and Optical Technology Letters 9 (5) : 266-269. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | It has recently been observed that the improper choice of relative adaptor orientations may give rise to 180° phase discrepancies in the transmission-coefficient measurements obtained by automatic network analyzers for multiport rectangular-waveguide components. Two test procedures for detecting the presence of such discrepancies - based either on principal subdeterminants or on maximum singular value - are described in the present article. Test results indicate that the latter of the two procedures is to be preferred, because the former may in certain instances fail to function satisfactorily. | Source Title: | Microwave and Optical Technology Letters | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/50546 | ISSN: | 08952477 |
