In this thesis, four types of catalysts have been prepared, namely: Cu/SBA-15, CuAl/SBA-15, Cu-Zn-Al spinel and SBA/SP-x. The catalytic activities of theses catalysts were studied using pyridine as the model NPAC compound in the presence of excess oxygen. Although all these catalysts showed good catalytic activity, SBA/SP-5 catalyst was the most active for the catalytic removal of pyridine and NOx control. The properties of the catalysts, such as the distribution and particle size of the active component, the surface acidity of catalysts and the state of Cu, play the determinant roles in the pyridine oxidation and NOx yield.
