dc.description.abstractIn the first part of this work, the performance of Au-Au and/or I?-I? interactions was investigated on the basis of crystal structures of a series of gold(I) diphosphine complexes formulated as (I?-PAnP)(AuX)2 (PAnP: 9, 10-bis-diphenylphosphinoanthracene). First examples of Au-X-Ag halonium species were discovered in the reaction of (I?-PAnP)(AuCl)2 or (I?-PAnP)(AuBr)2 with AgSbF6. Coordination chemistry of 9, 10-anthracenedithiol with d10 metal was also studied. In the second part of this work, the effect of metal-metal interaction on the electronic communicating ability of a??-Ca?!C-Pt-Ca?!C-a?? bridge were evaluated on the basis of the electrochemical behavior of a series of heterobimetallic platinum(II)-acetylide complexes. In addition, to search for complexes of low-lying MLCT excited states, the electronic spectroscopic study of a series of platinum(0)-acetylene I? complexes was carried out.
