dc.description.abstractIn this paper,I look into the alternative questions and their special forms repeated question system,of Beijing dialect in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China,using eight Beijingdialect references in different periods of late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, and three Lao She?s novel. Mainly focus on the changes of frequency in different types of questions in the question system, including alternative questions and repeated questions within the same language span period. What is the trend if there are changes then the comparison between Beijing dialect elements in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China and Lao She's works in different periods right after.
