Abstract: This paper presents an empirical analysis for the determinants of the uk and australian real housing prices. The results conclude that housing price models are localised. They are different from country to country as well as from national level to regional level. The implication is that similar housing policy may generate different impacts on the housing markets in different countries, as well as in different regions within the same country.
