ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||Multimedia-based interactive advising technology for online consumer decision support is discussed. The continuous visual stimuli and associated sound effects provide various product presentations and engage online customers in examining products. Multimedia-based Product Annotation (MPA) is a product presentation in which customers can retrieve embedded product information in a multimedia context. MPA provides explanations related to the features or functions associated with certain parts of a product while consumers look at an illustration of the product.
