Abstract: This thesis studies the design and development of Wearable Robotic System (WRS) for Interactive Digital Media (IDM). WRS is defined as a wearable device system that user can wear on the body and use motion and gesture to interact with the digital contents naturally on computer. The research work includes design and development of a wearable robotic system for human gesture and motion detection, design and development of a wireless Universal Serial Bus (USB) plug-and-play device to interface to computer, and development of an interactive Taichi game played by WRS for exercises.
