Title: | Study of tablet coating using high-speed air fluidization technique | Authors: | CHRISTINE CAHYADI | Keywords: | Tablet coating, pan coating, Supercell coating, air fluidization/suspension coating, in-line coating, process analytical technology | Issue Date: | 5-Aug-2011 | Citation: | CHRISTINE CAHYADI (2011-08-05). Study of tablet coating using high-speed air fluidization technique. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | The Supercell coater is a newly-developed tablet coater which employs fluidizing air for high-speed coating. This project aimed to: 1) improve understanding of the Supercell coater, 2) compare Supercell coating with conventional pan coating, 3) evaluate the utility of process analytical technology (PAT) tools for studying coat development, and 4) assess the feasibility of in-line tablet coating. The Supercell coater was robust and the coat quality of Supercell coated tablets was comparable to that of pan coated tablets. PAT tools were found to be useful for monitoring coat development. The Supercell coater also showed immense prospects to be employed as an in-line tablet coater. | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/30742 |
