书写雨林--潘雨桐小说中的南洋图象 = WRITING RAINFOREST: IMAGES OF NANYANG IN PAN YU-TONG'S FICTION

Abstract

This dissertation is a study on the fiction works of Pan Yu-tong, one of the most influential writers in the Malaysian Chinese literary scene. This research aims to analyze how the writer has built the images of Nanyang in his fictions through the rainforest writing strategies. It also systematically read Pan¿s fictions with focus given to the rainforest writing as well as nature writing and female character appearing in his works in particular, so as to reflect the literary value and importance of Pan¿s fiction works and how he has contributed to the Malaysian Chinese literary scene, as well as the international Chinese literary scene.
