The sudden and sustained movement restriction in response to COVID-19 pandemic resulted in multiple challenges to families with children with intellectual disabilities (ID). Key amongst these challenges were the disruption of routines and the removal of access to support. Thus far, studies have illuminated challenges during and immediately after the pandemic. Yet, few have studied the lingering impact of COVID-19 on the family quality of life (FQoL) of families with children with ID in Singapore and the support rendered to them. The present study sought to understand the impact of the FQoL of families with children with ID in Singapore and their support three years after COVID-19 occurred. A mixed-method approach was used to analyse correlations between FQoL, parental stress, and the support received. Thematic analysis provided depth to the quantitative findings. Findings showed that families rated their FQoL as being neutral to high despite challenges faced. Support played a crucial role in enhancing FQoL, albeit in varying ways. Interestingly, no statistically significant relationships were found between caregivers’ stress and FQoL.
