Title: | PRELIMINARY EXPLORATION INTO THE FUNCTION OF THE SUPERIOR LIMB OF THE ARCUATE SULCUS | Authors: | ONG YING HERN | Issue Date: | 4-Nov-2022 | Citation: | ONG YING HERN (2022-11-04). PRELIMINARY EXPLORATION INTO THE FUNCTION OF THE SUPERIOR LIMB OF THE ARCUATE SULCUS. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Little is known about the area immediately dorsal to the superior limb of the arcuate sulcus. Due to its close proximity to the Supplementary Eye Field and Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex, it is hypothesised that this region consists of neurons that are movement-specific and would display temporal estimation and motor preparation activities. Results from a memory-guided saccade task show that neurons in this region display movement-specific activity to target location, and ramping activity that indicate motor preparation. This provides some insight into a region that has not been researched on much. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/235689 |
