The Singapore residential property market did well in the first quarter of2005, due to the decision to build two integrated resorts, and increased interest from foreign investors and high-income home buyers. The launch of more unique life-style driven condominium developments, and affordable price tag, it appears that the private sector is getting more of the pie in the property market whereas; public housing has plummeted in terms of flat sales. This dissertation investigates public housing and private housing to find out the factors that affect the decision of the house buyer of housing in Singapore. The analysis is based on a survey of the people staying in Singapore. Finally, this dissertation visualizes the future of public housing for Singapore.
