dc.description.abstract | Emerging technologies have rendered mobile robots becoming increasingly integrated into our daily lives. The importance of technology is further magnified due to urbanisation and an increment of population density, leading to the construction of many high-rise buildings worldwide. This results in a higher demand for building maintenance and decontamination. In recent decades, several researches have been done to develop robotic technology with the ability to carry out laborious tasks in place of humans. This paper discusses the current achievements of robotic technologies in the area of targeted decontamination, followed by a review of their effectiveness and efficiency and finally an evaluation of the current prime technique. | |
