Project Governance is important in all projects, but it is especially so in megaprojects, and in this case, mega-events. Mega-events involve a huge number of parties and temporal organisations that came together for the sake of the event. This study focuses on the identification of the problems faced by the two most recent Olympic Games, Beijing 2008 and London 2012 in related in its project governance and its structure. Two case studies were conducted, and evaluated against an evaluation framework to the focus of each game. One objective is to identify the common problem faced between the two countries and determine the gap that deters the delivery of a smooth Olympic Game. By assessing these factors, this study explores the different focus and aims determined by each host city. This study will contribute to future research on similar topics.
