It is widely known that houses with a good view will play a major role on the value of a property, regardless of which country it is in. Various types of views have already been studied, e.g. sea views and skyline views. However, there is a major lack of research on the effects of a golf course view would generally have on a property, especially in Singapore. My dissertation aims to assess if condominiums with golf course views, in different districts and areas of Singapore, have a higher selling price than condominiums in the same regions without golf course view. Results from the research indicate that condominiums in Singapore with golf course view do generally sell at a higher price compared to similar units without a view. On average, the data analysed shows that condominiums with a golf course view sell at a 0.1% - 1% premium than condominium units without such a view. The difference in price is probably attributed to the exclusivity of having an aesthetically pleasing natural view that is unhindered and unspoiled by the often-lingering presence of other buildings.
