Abstract: The current Housing Price in Singapore is very buoyant. It is announced to be leading 36 markets around the world, gaining 34 percent from 2009 (Business Times, 2010). In an attempt to cope with this overheating residential property market, some Housing Loan policies have been delivered. Whether the change in Housing Loan can influence Housing Price? To answer this question, the study examines interaction between Housing Loan and Housing Price in Singapore within the scope of private residential property. We use Johansen Co-integration test and Vector Error Correction Model as main methods, Housing Loan, Housing Price, Interest Rate and GDP from 1991 Q1 to 2010 Q2 as input data. The results show that there is one linear combination among the four variables. However, the causality from Housing Loan to Housing Price is not clear. This finding suggests the Authority to consider other factors rather than Housing Loan in controlling Housing Price. Key words: Housing Loan, Housing Price, Johansen test, Vector Error Correction.
