Electronic Commerce is growing explosively on the Internet. It is the selling of products and services on the Internet. In simple terms, E-commerce is online shopping, both wholesale and retail, and is happening now. It also applies to the use of computer networks to search and retrieve information in support of human and corporate decision making. Ecommerce brings a whole new dimension to the exchange of goods and services because it provides a level of convenience never possible before. Like many other businesses, a number of property management companies and professionals especially in the United States of America, have tapped on the opportunities and competitive advantages of applying electronic commerce to property management. However, many local property managers and companies have remained hesitant about venturing into electronic commerce. Hence the question which arises is: “What is the impact of electronic commerce on property management?” The main objective of this dissertation is to examine the impact of electronic commerce on property management. The research is mainly based on information extracted from relevant books, articles and detailed surveys with property management professionals and companies involved in electronic commerce. The findings suggest that e-commerce does have a significant positive impact on property management. Results of a performance assessment undertaken in this dissertation have revealed that application of electronic commerce on property management has been both efficient and effective. Hence, there lies great potential for electronic commerce in becoming the leading property management tool in the coming decades
