dc.description.abstractGraffiti has been around since the beginning of mankind, and it has been largely debated and discussed on its effects and impacts in the urban space in the recent years. Hence, this research aims to understand more on the unique urban dialogue between graffiti and the public space. Theories will be proposed to gather insight and knowledge on various aspects of graffiti to demonstrate the different perceptions of the public space through the evolution of contemporary graffiti around the world. And it will further analyse on the impact of these new age of graffiti onto the space and the people, thus, developing a better understanding on the quality of life in the city. Next, by drawing reference and information from the world graffiti to Singapore context as a case study, this paper also wish to discuss on the status of Singapore graffiti and understand the complexity of its public space. Finally, this research aims to conclude that by employing the analysis of graffiti in the public space as a learning tool, it can aid in a better understanding on the complexity of perceiving space, especially in the urban space.
