Purpose - The purpose of this dissertation is to highlight recent trends in Facility Management, Green Buildings, Marketing of Green Buildings and lastly the impact of green buildings and effects in Facility Management. The literature used and collected for this research paper was limited to past evidence supporting the above areas highlighted above. Research Methodology - 35 personal interviews were carried out at the Facility Management Department of Gleneagles Hospital. The target respondents were from the management level as the results were required from a corporate perspective. Findings – Generally the respondents were aware of the green measures implemented in a building but are aware that the benefits of being green were limited due to standard measures. Limitations - Due to the constraints of company ethics, the quality and quantity of data were limited and the results derived may not be substantial. Implications – This study aims to inform professionals in the building industry about the challenges and the skills required by the Facility Management department to maintain and manage the asset. This is in line with the daily changes occurring globally, relating to asset and property management with the recent trends of being green.
