Abstract: Climate change – the exact two words that truly depict the world’s most crucial problem. The question is: How are we going to tackle the problem and maintain our sustainability? Campus sustainability is often overlooked in Singapore. With the increasing trend for higher learning, more institutions are built and the energy load for these institutions are massive. The lack of culture on sustainability is very evident throughout the campus. This signals that there is poor foundation in educating the newer generations. Upon further research, the direction and medium chosen to disseminate the sustainability culture is wrong from the start. Thus, making the communication ineffective. The research paper covers how a mobile application can effectively and efficiently transmit message through user engagement. This is done through the data gathered from the pilot study. This paper explains the five different research stages and the rationale behind it before proposing a redeveloped application. The redeveloped application aims to engage users and spread the awareness of sustainability effectively by introducing methods that caters better towards Millennials. Thus, this would help in creating a foundation to inculcate sustainability culture in the future.
