Title: | DESIGN OF AIPV IN LOCAL PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECTS AIDED BY PVSYST | Authors: | YANG LI | Keywords: | Architecture Design Technology and Sustainability |
Issue Date: | 24-Oct-2009 | Citation: | YANG LI (2009-10-24T02:35:43Z). DESIGN OF AIPV IN LOCAL PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECTS AIDED BY PVSYST. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | This dissertation attempts to make a summary of design of Aesthetically Integrated Photovoltaic system (AIPV) based on architects’ point of view. The AIPV design elements are listed and analyzed. Based on this, the methodologies and principles of AIPV integration with high-rise HDB buildings in Singapore are explored with various case studies including balcony railings, sun shading equipments and roofs. The software PYSYST is used as a simulation tool to model these cases and to evaluate how AIPV works in different cases. The work is significant, because it prepares architects’ mindset for AIPV technologies and provides a theoretical basis for applying the AIPV technology to the public housing projects in Singapore. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/222224 |
