dc.description.abstract | This paper aims to explore the trends of co-living in Singapore. It is a study into the adoption of the sharing economy concept that is gaining traction amongst the Singaporean population, and how this phenomenon will impact the real estate industry in Singapore. Included in the research are the reasons for adopting this new concept of shared living (co-living) and the demographic population that is adopting this style of co-habiting. The sustainability of this model of living is also put into review with the help of research. The study delves into the economic sustainability, environmental sustainability and finally, the social sustainability of the co-living phenomenon, where it then draws an advisory conclusion on the overall feasibility and demand for co-living in the Singapore housing market. | |
