Issue Date: | 6-Dec-2018 | Citation: | ZHUO, ZHENYUN (2018-12-06). EVALUATION OF AS-BUILT BIM RECONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES FOR BIM-BASED FACILITIES MANAGEMENT. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Building Information Modelling is slowly integrating into most building systems. While it is more widely adopted for design and construction phase, the current market is also opening to BIM FM application, driven by Singapore’s SMART nation initiative. For newly built and designed buildings, there will be lesser issue of utilising BIM for the building’s whole lifecycle. However, for existing buildings, there may not be BIM readily available to facilitate the building’s transition into smart technologies. Hence, as-built BIM reconstruction technology, where ‘as build’ it refers to ‘as-is’, should be explored. This research evaluated the application of as-built reconstruction technology for BIM FM application and thus, identifies the potential FM functions that can be supported by as-built BIM technology. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/221389 |
