dc.description.abstractThis thesis issue aims to solve the problem of manpower and heavy reliability on high embodied energy material such as concrete and steel in Singapore construction industry by looking at how traditional material construction techniques can be improved and thus be widely used. It proposed to look at mud construction, which is one of the oldest and lowest embodied energy material; how it can be revived through the use of digital fabrication as a main tool of design. The improved construction technique which make use of interlocking system can reduce manpower, be more efficient and sustainable.
