Abstract: The thesis project demonstrates the architectural form as a derivative of its structural performance. Meanwhile, architectural components are mass customized for cost effective fabrication. Both tasks could only be done simultaneously through the application of the Grasshopper parametric software. The design process sets out by identifying the site and programmatic constraints to obtain a prototype. This prototype undergoes Algor structural simulation for linear von Mises stress analysis. Using Grasshopper, mass customized grids are obtained based on the difference in stress distribution. The resultant Voronoi grid, after undergoing physical testing, is reinterpreted as the optimized beams layout of the floor slab. This layout not only resolves the stress distribution but also informs the architecture of its spatial quality.
