Abstract: As the world begins to gain environmental consciousness, an increasing effort to tackle environmental issues has been observed. In particular, it has been recognised that there is a need for businesses to strike a balance between achieving economic growth and being sustainable at the same time. The aim of this report is to gather a list of innovative technologies, ideas and processes that have been implemented, or in the process of research and development (“R&D”), by overseas companies to reduce greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions, air and water pollution, water consumption, waste production, or improve the process of supplier screening. The objective is to learn and be kept abreast of the latest technologies and approaches that have been implemented in foreign companies to achieve their environmental sustainability goals. The report also assessed the possibilities of applying the technologies, ideas, or processes in local companies.
