Abstract: Community involvement plays a major role to keep the vibrancy of our parks. As certain park activities can be carried out elsewhere, it is crucial to explore ways to keep this vibrancy alive. Smart technology has been evolving around us and continues to gain its popularity. Integrating Smart technology into our parks to bring in more visitors is something new and worth researching. To investigate this, a survey methodology was used to study whether the integration of Smart technology into parks can be sustainable in the future by focusing on the receptiveness of the park stakeholders and park users. Survey questions were adopted from an established sustainability indicator framework and future possible Smart Park features were included in the survey. These questions were set to gather the participants’ perception on Smart Park sustainability in Singapore context, and their responses were analyzed using: radar chart, hypothesis testing and correlation analysis. These analyses all led to similar findings which validates the park stakeholders and park users having strong acceptance, confidence and support that Smart Park will be sustainable in the future.
