Dentistry in general has been slowly moving towards a paperless practice with the intention of having a fully digitalize workflow in the near future. Orthodontists have been replacing physical radiographs and photos with digital software for photographs and radiographs to securely store and easily review cases, leaving physical plaster models to be the last component for transformation to a full digital record. With the adoption of digital models, there is a need to understand how this change could affect the planning for orthodontic treatment.
