Objectives: The asymmetric mandible presents the clinician with unique anatomical challenges. This present study aims to investigate these characteristics of the asymmetric mandible, namely mandible bony thickness differences between the 2 sides, soft tissue compensation at the menton and lateral aspect of the mandible, and the proximity of the bone cortex to the IAN canal.
