This thesis explores the impact of family wealth between generations and its impact on human capital accumulation in Singapore. Singapore state's provision of free primary education does not dampen the effect of family income on human capital accumulation, leading to the unequal income distribution in Singapore. I study Galor and Moav's human capital model (2003) to explain and postulate Singapore's current and future economic trends. In conclusion, I discuss how the continued income disparity may post social and economic problems in the long run.
