Title: | DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE CENTRE ON MOTOROLA CELLULAR DIGITAL NETWORK | Authors: | LOKE PENG FAI | Keywords: | SMS IS41 GSM Short Message Service Center |
Issue Date: | 1999 | Citation: | LOKE PENG FAI (1999). DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE CENTRE ON MOTOROLA CELLULAR DIGITAL NETWORK. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Message Register (MR) which functions as short message service center (SC) in Motorola CDMA digital network enables transmission of point-to-point short messages (SMS) to and from a mobile station. An example of such services is the customer test message, a short message in a few ten of octets long, delivered to a mobile station. The aim of this project is to design and transform the existing MR to be a Gateway-SC. Gateway-SC is a short message service center connected to both IS41 and GSM network. By using a Gateway-SC, SMS can be exchanged seamlessly between CDMA and GSM mobile stations. A program named GICON (GSM-IS41 SMS Converter) is written to demonstrate the conversion of GSM SM-TP parameters to IS41 bearer data and vice versa. | URI: | https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/180064 |
