dc.description.abstract | The inception stage is of great importance for any development. It is here that the owner or the developer decides the path that his investment should take. Bearing this in mind, this dissertation takes a look at a development which has gone through various stages of growth. This development is the World Trade Centre Singapore. This is referred to as WTCS or Centre in the text for convenience. The WTCS management, just gave a new lease of life to the Centre. Having injected $166m, it is now at the cross roads of promoting the Centre as a shopping Centre and succeeding in it. As such, this study takes a look at the WTCS from the angle of a shopping centre and identify where it falls short as one. | |
