The core objective of this research work is focused on developing dual-functional properties on metallic materials, especially for orthopaedic implants. Addressing current issues with titanium (Ti) implantmaterial, a new bio-multifunctional material with dual properties, i.e., a material with antibacterial and cell adhesion/cell proliferation properties was developed. In an attempt to achieve these dual properties, the adoption of possible methods such as surface coatings, surface treatments, and antibacterial drugs on Ti substrates is performed. Surface modification techniques, especially electrospinning, are used to create thick adherent nanofibrous on the Ti surface and piranha solution, and a strong etching reagent is used to generate morphologicalchanges on the surface.Developing these kinds of surfaces with dual properties has provided a successful alternative to the long-standing issues pertaining to implant failure. The first two studies showed that developed surfaces could able to reduce bacterial adhesion of various stains without the release of any substance to the surroundings.
