Abstract: Fenton and ozone based advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are widely applied in industrial effluent treatment. In this chapter, fundamentals of Fenton and ozone based AOPs are firstly introduced, including the technology background, reaction mechanisms, process operating conditions, and improving techniques. Subsequently, recent research works on various industrial effluent treatment with Fenton and ozone based AOPs are reviewed. Pilot and full-scale applications of some AOP technologies for industrial effluent treatment are also discussed in this chapter.
