|Title:||AN INVESTIGATION OF A HOME/JOB GOALS MODEL OF WORKWIVES' CONVENIENCE CONSUMPTION PATTERNS||Authors:||CHUA MUN YUEN||Issue Date:||1990||Citation:||CHUA MUN YUEN (1990). AN INVESTIGATION OF A HOME/JOB GOALS MODEL OF WORKWIVES' CONVENIENCE CONSUMPTION PATTERNS. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||It is by now well recognized that in the coming years, the participation of women in the Singapore labour force will ~,mtinue to increase dramatically. According to last year's Labour Force Survey, the overall participation of women in the workforce is 47.8 percent. In view of the increased participation of women in the paid labour force, it has become necessary for marketers and social scientists to study the effects of wives' increased employment. In Singapore, research commissioned by the government are mostly exploratory. This study will cover areas of particular interest to us that have not been extensively researched in the past. For quite a number of Singapore working women, the advertisements about the joys of marriage and having babies hold a certain irony. They have done exactly that. They have fallen in love, married and produced children. But there is a problem: they find it tough to reconcile home and workplace responsibilities.||URI:||https://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/166048|
