Abstract: Information sharing is one of the most useful applications of Internet. Peer-to- peer (P2P) platform attracts many researchersB!B/ attention because of the increasing number of users and the advantages of P2P systems over traditional centralized systems, such as scalability and administration-free. While P2P platforms provide many advantages, we are facing many new research challenges as well. In this dissertation, we focus on issues related to keyword-based search in P2P networks, because keyword-based search is the most feasible and easiest searching interface in a decentralized system where users are not expected to have apriori knowledge about the remote data.
